The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian-wide scheme designed to help people living with a disability to get the support they need to gain greater independence, involvement in your community, education, employment and health and wellbeing.

Engage Abilities have created an NDIS access program to help people living with a disability navigate the complex system and assist them with gaining access to the NDIS. We will help you every step along the way and are here to answer all of your questions in regards to the NDIS.

Check Eligibility

To access the NDIS, an individual must meet certain eligibility criteria based on their age, residency, disability, and the impact of the disability on their daily life.

Apply for Access

Once the eligibility is confirmed, the person needs to complete an Access Request Form and provide supporting documents such as medical reports and assessments.

3.

Planning Meeting

If the application is approved, the person will be invited to attend a planning meeting with an NDIS representative. The meeting is an opportunity to discuss the individual’s goals, support needs, and budget.

4.

Receive a Plan

Based on the planning meeting, the NDIS will develop a personalised plan that outlines the individual’s support needs and funding.
