Working with Youth Justice

Supporting Young People

Engage Abilities works with Youth Justice to provide Bail Accommodation for Children and Young people who would otherwise be remanded in custody.

In Partnership with ‘The Bail and Accommodation Support Service (BASS), Engage Abilities aims to support Children and young people between the ages of 12 and 17 who are at risk of entering custody due to lack of accommodation, transport, and case support services.

This service is also offered to children and young people between the ages of 12 and 17 who have been granted bail but where a Magistrate has instructed that they remain in Youth Justice custody until appropriate accommodation is secured for them.

Proudly in partnership with ‘The Bail and Accommodation Support Service’ (BASS), Engage Abilities offers safe accommodation for children and young people who are at risk of entering custody.

The importance of a safe and reliable home for children as young as 12 is crucial. That is why Engage Abilities offer accommodation in secure locations, within family friendly areas. All homes have multiple locks on door and windows, smoke alarms, smart lighting and secure wall power plugs.
